Our Fall Open House & Award Celebration at Toronto Public Library tonight was just so sweet. I’m so grateful to have accepted the Southeast Kansas Library SystemExcellence Award for Outstanding Library Director.
I need to give a special thanks to Randy and Debbie Schumacher. I have no idea how many hours of hard work they have donated in the last two years, but it is a TON. Randy is absolutely my go-to guy for anything I need here. I would never have applied for this job without his encouragement, and I would not have been able to do all that I’ve done without him. From hanging steel shelves to changing out all our lighting to mowing, fixing picture frames and washing windows. He can do it all, and he does it with a light and generous heart! Thank you!!
I’m not sure I mentioned tonight, but Avery Eakin and Rob & Jade Bucy keep our library running smoothly by opening when I can’t be there. This has been such a blessing and does not go unnoticed! You are so appreciated!
Endless thanks to my amazing board for throwing another wonderful party! Becky Petty, Debbie Schumacher, Keri Ford, Jade Bucy, Chari Bauman, and Mary Jirgens all go above and beyond for our library all year long.
